The power of the Holy Spirit gives Spirit-filled believers incredible authority to testify to the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

You cannot testify with absolute certainty that Buddha ever lived, let alone recorded and started the religion of Buddhism. There may be compelling circumstantial evidence to say that he did, but there is no proof with absolute certainty. The same is true of Mohammed, and Islam. These men allegedly lived over a thousand years ago. There is no one, no scholar, priest, imam or holy man that can testify with absolute certainty and unequivocal scientific proof that these men even existed, let alone started their religions. But that is not true of Jesus Christ, and of the relationship with the true God (not religion), we call Christianity…

There are no living witnesses who can testify with absolute certainty concerning Buddha, Mohammed, or any other long-dead religious or historical figure. The living witnesses from their time (assuming there were some) are all dead themselves. You may say to me, the living witnesses from Jesus’ earthly life are all gone as well! But I say to you, the power of the Holy Spirit makes believers living today incontrovertible, authentic witnesses of the truth of the records found in the Word of God, and specifically the record of the Resurrection.

We know that one cannot speak in tongues unless they have given their hearts to Christ and, very specifically according to Romans 10:9, believed in His resurrection. Only ‘saved ones’ can speak in tongues…assuming they want to be filled with the Holy Spirit!

…that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Rom 10:9 NKJV

Speaking in tongues is the more sure word of prophecy that demonstrates scientifically the truth of the Word of God, and specifically the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the fulcrum (or central reality) of all history.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels…1 Cor 13:1 NKJV

When you speak in tongues, you are speaking a dialect of men, or an angelic dialect, that is unknown to you. It is not gibberish or foolishness. It may seem unusual to your soulish ear, but that doesn’t change the reality of it. I happened to listen to a person speaking on a cell phone in a very unusual language while waiting to board an airplane. After they were done, I asked them what language they were speaking. It turned out to be Norwegian…very, very different from my humble English, or even Kiswahili.

The astonishing scientific reality of tongues is that you speak a language with incredible precision, that you have never been taught. This is impossible, according to the laws of learning. Impossible means ‘there is no scientific, plausible way this can happen.’ And yet, you do it. If we recorded your tongues, we could document evidence of syntax, sentence structure, and all the forms of language. If we recorded your tongue, we may be able to find people who speak it, like what happened on the day of Pentecost. And yet, you were never taught that language.
