TURNING REVELATION INTO REALITY – PART TWO

I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. Ps 2:7 NKJV

It is always possible to turn revelation into reality. The Lord does not give revelation, and then snatch away the hope, only to break your heart. In ancient Greek literature, ‘the gods’ would many times play games with humans, baiting them with promises, then pulling the rug from underneath them. So much of the Greek mindset has crept into the Church. Somehow, I think this idea to some degree has been formed into people’s opinion of the true God. Nothing could be further from the truth!

Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. Job 22:28 KJV

In God’s providence I had a teacher early in my Christian walk that taught me that God meant what He said, and said what He meant. He taught me that God had a purpose for everything He said, where He said it, why He said, and even how He said it. My teacher taught me that the Word of God was the will of God. He taught me that the integrity of the Word was man’s basic spiritual problem. On these truths, he was right. The Lord God, as the author of the Word, and the divine source of revelation, cannot and will not lie.

The words of the Lord are pure words, like silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. You shall keep them, O Lord, You shall preserve them from this generation forever. Ps 12:6-7 NKJV

Now, let’s understand revelation. Revelation is the first great key to miracles. However you must operate more spiritual gifts to produce miracles, then just the revelation gifts. RHEMA words are, as the dear Bible teacher Dutch Sheets explained, God essentially saying, “This thing I am showing you is available (possible, even probable but not guaranteed) for you to receive.” These RHEMA words come by a word of knowledge or by discerning of spirits.

Once He shows us what is available, then we must seek Him to know how to receive that thing. The ‘how to receive something’ is a word of wisdom. Many times these two separate gifts will come together as one word. Let me illustrate.

In November of 2017, twin babies were born to great rejoicing. In my quiet living room I anxiously prayed as they were being born, much like I am sure my friend the father was as well, ten thousand miles away. When he texted me of their birth, I cried; and I am not a man given to tears. Let me tell you the rest of the story…

In December of 2014, almost three years earlier, while preaching at his conference, my friend confided in me his concern about his wife and he never having a child. I could see the deep emotional pain in his heart! As I walked back to my room, the Lord spoke and said, “They can have a child with medical assistance, and you must help them get it.”

There was the promise, a word of knowledge – “They can have a child.” And with it came two specific words of wisdom – “(1) with medical assistance, and (2) you must help them get it.” I believed that word when He spoke it to me. I knew that God was not playing games with me. I told them. They believed it, and Samalie and Samuel Kevin were born in November.

The gift that turns revelation into reality is the gift of faith. When I learned that the gift of faith was operated by a decree or a command, it revolutionized my life. I had always gotten revelation, but so many times I failed to turn it into reality because I had used my faith, rather than the gift of faith. When God shows you what is available, and how to receive it, He will also allow you to use His faith to get the job done. I learned this key on a Wednesday night. By Sunday I had seen three miracle healings, two of which were life changing.

In the above example, we had to use the gift of faith repeatedly, even continuously, to get the final result. The doctors tried to help the couple get pregnant, only to see it fail time after time. After three or four times, they finally realized what they were doing that was ineffective. You see, as you continue to believe the revelation by the gift of faith, the Lord will give revelation to others, even unsaved ones, showing them how to help you turn the original revelation into reality.

And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. Ex 17:11-12 NKJV

Once our sister was pregnant, it was a difficult pregnancy. With the twins, it seems she was in the hospital very often, even weekly. The father and I prayed continually over the phone, decreeing the will of God. We three had to pursue the gift of faith with bulldog tenacity. Once you are convinced that something is the will of God, and for the glory of God, you never, ever back down or quit. If you get weary, get others to help.

But Moses’ hands became heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. Ex 17:12 NKJV

I consider the birth of those babies to be one of the great miracles that I have been privileged to be a part of in my ministry. God will give you those kinds of privileges as well! If you will take the time to learn to receive revelation, both what is available and how to receive it, then practice to apply the gift of faith with bulldog tenacity, then you also will have these privileges. The whole creation desperately awaits the children of God to rise up and be the miracle workers they are called to be, turning revelation into reality. Love you!

Remember dear ones, we must be about our Father’s business…
