THE WORD OF WISDOM

Lightbearers MinistriesUncategorized

Dear Ones,

The Lord bless you!

I just recorded this material in the new video Holy Spirit Seminar that, Lord willing, will be available for all by Resurrection Sunday this year. This is the more finalized version of the teaching on the word of wisdom that will be new material in the Seminar. I ask myself, why do the children of believers, many of them even born again, leave the Christian faith once they leave their parents’ home? I believe it’s in part may be due to not getting answers to prayer – tangible answers that bring the promise of God into manifestation. Hope deferred makes the heart sick! I believe this understanding of the word of wisdom can give our people much needed instruction in solved problems and answered prayer and give hope for our cities and nations in the genius aspect of it. Read it, study it, preach it and practice it and give God all the glory!

Love you! KRP

THE WORD OF WISDOM

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1 NKJV

Father never intended His Word to be separate from His Spirit. The Word and the Spirit were to coordinate with one another and complement one another to bring the LOGOS of God into manifestation in the physical realm. The Word and the Spirit were to bring Heaven to earth in answered prayer and demonstrations of power. To that end the word of wisdom is listed first in the gifts of the Spirit in 1 Corinthians Twelve.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Prov 1:7 NKJV

Wisdom is knowledge applied – the HOW of getting things done. One is the number for unity and commencement. The word of wisdom brings unity to all the gifts by making them practical and powerful. WOW takes you from the place of your request to the place of answered prayer. An incident from my Bible college days will be a great illustration.

I entered Bible college in 1975 (You were probably still a gleam in your daddy’s eye!). I needed $300 per month to cover my tuition, room and board. I had the first three months paid for before arriving but no plans after that point. The word in school was, you can stay until your money runs out! I went into the woods to pray about my situation. As I waited on Him He revealed to me thirty names of people who would sponsor me for ten dollars a month. All thirty agreed to help – what are the chances of that? –  and my expenses were paid month by month. The thirty names and the instruction to ask for ten dollars a month were the word of wisdom. Prayer answered! Do you see it?

However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. John 16:13 NKJV

Thank God for habits! The Lord designed your mind to learn things and then habitually carry them out without exaggerated thought. You learned to tie your shoes centuries ago and haven’t given it a thought since! Habits can be good or bad. The habit of worry about the future is destructive and distracting, and leads to a life wasted. Word of wisdom is the answer to worry about the future in any category of life. Worried about your health? Ask Jesus! Worried about money, your children, your business, your future? Ask the Master! Holy Spirit will tell you about the future, twenty years from now and twenty minutes from now. He will tell you things to come, and how to handle them. Learn to ask the right questions – I’ll let you figure that one out – and wait on Him until He replies.

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Rom 8:37NKJV

How do you recognize someone that is unteachable? You bring up a subject and immediately they launch into all their understanding and experiences with that subject. They may be dumb as a box of rocks but they are unteachable. I just hunger! As a student I hunger. As a teacher I hunger. Show me, teach me. I’ve studied HS for the last fifty years and the greatest years of learning have been the last ten. I trust I’ll say that again in ten years. Thank You Jesus!

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. 1 Cor 10:13 NKJV

The word of wisdom connects you to the promises of God. On the individual level it is the problem solving anointing. On the macro level – think families, communities, cities and nations – it is the genius anointing. The ‘way to escape’ – to overcome your problem and see the glory of God – is given through a word of wisdom. Let me illustrate…

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; James 1:5-7 NKJV

I was going to Kenya, but I didn’t have the money. I sat on my couch at 7:00pm and said, Lord, I have two questions to ask You: do You want me to go to Kenya and, if so, where is the money? I began to pray in tongues. I prayed in tongues for four hours until He spoke. He said, I want you to go to Kenya, and I will give you the money tomorrow at 830am, which He did. The question is, why didn’t God speak to me at 7:01pm? Why wait four hours? The reason is this: the Holy Spirit had to use my operation of speaking in tongues to burn the ‘doubt’ out of my soul (Mt. 3:11,12). As soon as the doubt was gone, He spoke. Hallelujah!

God solved my problem. Did Jesus ever have a problem? And, how did He solve it?

Now early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them. Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery.John 8:2-9

Jesus was teaching in the temple, perhaps sitting on a small stool cross-legged while hundreds sat quietly at His feet. Then the religious leaders showed up, interrupting His sermon.

And when they had set her in the midst, they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?” This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him.

Here is the problem: The law did say she should be stoned (Lev.20:10). Jesus has been teaching about love, mercy, grace and forgiveness. If he denies the law to save the woman out of love and mercy, His ministry is finished because He has broken the law. But if He agrees to having her executed, then what happens to His ministry of love, mercy and grace? It is finished in the eyes of the people. A ‘no win’ situation! So, what does Jesus do?

But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.

He goes to the Father to receive the word of wisdom, in this case given the circumstances I would call it the genius anointing. Isaiah 26:3 says that if you stay your mind on YHWH, He will give you perfect peace, the peace that is necessary to receive revelation. Jesus was tracing the sacred name of God in the dirt, staying His mind on Him until He spoke in His heart. This is so amazing, so practical! When you need to hear from God, stop and stay your mind on Him. Then He gives the genius answer…

So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.”

He didn’t deny the Law, yet He defended the woman in front of the masses. Perfect! He turns around a ‘no-win’ situation with a word of wisdom.

Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Ps 37:7 NKJV

In the midst of a problem, even a ‘no-win’ situation, you stay your mind on Him and rest in Him, waiting patiently without anger, wrath or worry. God will direct you. He will speak, you will obey and the problem will melt away!

Now let’s look at the macro problems that require the word of wisdom to be manifested as the genius anointing. We will look at Joseph and Daniel.

A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men. Prov 18:16 NKJV

The Lord is looking for men and women of ability through whom He can give great gifts to the world. But most people of ability get seduced and waste their lives seeking wealth or power. It’s a sad end! The Lord will wait hundreds of years if need be to find real men and women of integrity, brilliance and humility through whom He can work. Electricity has been in nature since the creation, but why did it take thousands of years before a Tesla or Edison could come along to harness it? The Lord folds His arms, taps His toes and drums His fingers waiting, just waiting…is He waiting for you?

Joseph had a dream that his father, mother and eleven brothers would bow before him. He unwisely shared that dream – there is a lesson here – which got him in a lot of trouble. His brothers sold him into slavery in Egypt. But God was with him, which means Joseph was faithful, not perfect, but faithful to the Lord in spite of his circumstances. He runs into a crazy wife in the house of his master in Egypt. He gets thrown into prison, but God is still with him. Through the word of wisdom, he interprets the dreams of two government officials also in jail, and finally winds up before the king…and saves the whole world.

25 Then Joseph said to Pharaoh, “The dreams of Pharaoh are one; God has shown Pharaoh what He is about to do: 26 The seven good cows are seven years, and the seven good heads are seven years; the dreams are one. 27 And the seven thin and ugly cows which came up after them are seven years, and the seven empty heads blighted by the east wind are seven years of famine…

33 “Now therefore, let Pharaoh select a discerning and wise man, and set him over the land of Egypt. 34 Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, to collect one-fifth of the produce of the land of Egypt in the seven plentiful years. 35 And let them gather all the food of those good years that are coming, and store up grain under the authority of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities. 36 Then that food shall be as a reserve for the land for the seven years of famine which shall be in the land of Egypt, that the land may not perish during the famine.” Gen 41:25-36 NKJV

Now, this pharaoh was a smart cookie, because he recognized the genius in the man before him and promoted him to be his prime minister. Joseph went from being a slave to being the second most powerful man in the world. He used his power to save the world, and yes, his brothers, father and mother did bow before him.

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Prov 29:2 NKJV

The Lord wants to put godly, brilliant men and women in positions of authority, but he has to wait until they come along who are willing to make the sacrifices necessary to achieve that greatness. The Lord used William Wilburforce to change the world, but in so doing he had to sacrifice his health, his youth and the possibility that he could have been prime minister of Great Britain, the greatest superpower of its day. Are you willing to make the sacrifices?

Daniel and his fellows were taken captive as slaves out of Israel and brought to Babylon. They were under the authority of the prince of the eunuchs which means they probably had their testicles cut off in savage butchery. If ever men had the right to be bitter, angry and to climb into a shell of resentment, it was Daniel and his boys: Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah. But they didn’t retreat even in the face of terrible physical pain, humiliation and torture. They stayed faithful to God, God anointed them with wisdom, and they were promoted in the land of their captivity.

As for these four young men, God gave them knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams. Dan 1:17

They had great internal storehouses of wisdom and knowledge because they were connected to the internet of heaven. They had ‘God’gle so they didn’t need Google. In Rwanda the Lord showed me 150 years of the country’s history so that I could minister effectively to several hundred pastors. Everything He showed me proved true from history books, and the Lord showed up in power.

Now at the end of the days, when the king had said that they should be brought in, the chief of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar. 19 Then the king interviewed them, and among them all none was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah; therefore they served before the king. 20 And in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king examined them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm. Dan 1:17-21NKJV

Ten times smarter! Four tortured, abused slaves were ten times smarter than all the PHDs in Babylon. Do you see what God can do when He finds those who are faithful to Him, who stand for Him uncompromisingly? Finally, we can look at Daniels beautiful operation of the genius anointing, the word of wisdom that comes when he and all the wise men are ready to be put to death.

Then with counsel and wisdom Daniel answered Arioch, the captain of the king’s guard, who had gone out to kill the wise men of Babylon; 15 he answered and said to Arioch the king’s captain, “Why is the decree from the king so urgent?” Then Arioch made the decision known to Daniel. 16 So Daniel went in and asked the king to give him time, that he might tell the king the interpretation. Dan 2:14-17 NKJV

The man of God asked the king to give him time, and he would give him the answer (no pressure, Daniel, just ignore that dripping sword over there!). Daniel was so confident in God that he knew God would speak to him about this situation, solving the kings problem and saving the lives of hundreds of people. Another great example of the genius anointing is Paul on the wheat ship (Acts 27), or Moses before the Pharoah, or Moses before the Red Sea.

But earnestly desire the best gifts. 1 Cor 12:31 NKJV

Do you see the potential of this great gift of the word of wisdom, the problem solving, the genius anointing? You can have this gift. The best gift by definition, because one gift of God is not superior to another, is the one that you need at the moment. Word of wisdom brings unity to the gifts and actually releases all the others. Prophecy, healing and miracles all flow out of wisdom. Rise up and become the man or woman that God can anoint with genius levels of wisdom, then go bless the whole world. Amen? Love you!

Remember dear ones, we must be about our Father’s business…
