THE WORD OF THE HEART

Lightbearers MinistriesUncategorized

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. John 15:7 NKJV

Consider these words! Some times the statements in the Word of God seem so wonderful and so personally removed from our current situation as to seem impossible, or at the very least implausible. Thus, the world tries to get rid of the Bible. Don’t laugh about this! Not too many years ago ‘scholars and theologians’ launched THE JESUS SEMINAR to throw out the deity, resurrection and miracles of our Lord Jesus. My first real Bible teacher said that the integrity of the Bible is man’s most basic spiritual problem. On that statement he was and still is very much right. We have to learn to allow the Word to enter our hearts…

How does that happen?

The Word declares itself to be true, so we start with that as a presumption. Then we hold the Word in mind as the Lord begins to confirm it to us. Some things come easily, while others take more time. But if we believe the Word is true, and we hold to that Word, God will work in us personally to confirm that reality. The miracle of speaking in tongues is one of the great confirmations to the written Word.

Tongues is absolutely unique to the born-again ones. Other so-called religions have ‘revelation,’ ‘miracles’ and ‘healings,’ but nothing that even approximates the free flow and beauty of praying in the Spirit. According to the law of learning, you cannot speak a language you have not been taught. But you do! Tongues changes you from a ‘hearsay’ witness – someone who relies on the testimony of another – to an ‘eyewitness’ of the Resurrection – one with firsthand experience of the Resurrection – because only believers in the Resurrection can do the impossible – pray in a language they have not been taught. Do you see why every born-again one needs to speak in tongues, if only for their own assurance of faith?

Why do we want to get the Word into our hearts?

The Bible teaches that we don’t receive what we think, but rather what we believe. Belief is a far deeper reality than mere thoughts or what is called mental assent. It is in the contrast of the ‘head’ and the heart. What you really believe is what you have and hold in your heart, which is what you will receive and manifest. The great analysis of the level of your faith RIGHT NOW is what you have received in your life. Faith is categorical and you have the measure of that in each category.

Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; For I am called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts. Jer 15:16 NKJV

One of the great ways to grow the Word in your heart is to meditate on specific truths.  The word meditate means to quietly speak and dwell on a thought without distraction.

…to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Eph 3:19 NKJV

‘Filled with all the fullness of God’ – that’s what we want to dwell on to the point it becomes the Word of our hearts. What does all the fullness of God look like?

It’s the devotion of Ruth, the courage of Joshua, the worship of David, the strength of Samson, the resolute conviction of Daniel, Shadrach, Mesheck and Abednego. It’s Peter getting out of the boat and preaching at Pentecost, Paul at Areopagus, Philip turning Samaria upside down, Jonah proclaiming judgment at Nineveh. It’s the faith of Abraham, the fear of Isaac, the vows of Jacob. It’s Mary as the handmaid of the Lord, Elizabeth as the comforter of Mary, and Deborah as the strength behind Barak. It’s Jonathan and his armorbearer taking on the Philistines, Gideon and his three hundred destroying an army of 135,000, and Joshua stopping the sun and moon. In a word…it’s Jesus!

TO KNOW – the Greek word is GINOSKO, meaning to know by experience. The great failure of how we minister to new believers is that they do not get to experience the fullness of Jesus. New born again ones should immediately speak in tongues, get physical healing, get delivered of demons, water baptized, prophesied over and have a mentor. Then they will know by experience the love of Christ!

THE LOVE OF CHRIST – Natural or human love is always conditional and ultimately selfcentered. The love of Christ is unconditional and always focused on the object of His devotion, you! It never runs out, never compromises and never fails. It’s the antidote to the world and all of its cares, manipulations and entanglements. It’s God’s strategy for success in every endeavor!

WHICH PASSES KNOWLEDGE – The world doesn’t know us because it didn’t know Him. Spiritual knowledge can only be received from the Spirit of God. This knowledge overrules natural knowledge and even natural rationality and reason.

THAT YOU – ‘That’ always introduces a purpose clause. YOU are you!

MAY BE FILLED – Christ dwells in your spirit. The Father and the Son dwell in your inner man through the Holy Spirit. What I believe God is looking for here is your whole spirit, soul and body being filled with all the fulness. So, this includes a sound mind and a healthy body. It’s the fullness of anointing that causes people to see God in you, whether they recognize it as God or not. ‘May’ implies permission but also conditionality, the conditions being strengthened with all might, Christ dwelling in our hearts through faith, being rooted and grounded in love, and knowing the love of Christ. The fullness of God is attainable as we grow up in Christ!

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Eph 3:20-21 NKJV

What you meditate on, you become. As a man thinks in his HEART, so is he! These are truths to meditate on throughout your day that will lift you up into the joys of fellowship with God. They will become the truths your heart runs to whenever you are challenged with your faith. Faith is all about preparation. Meditating on the Word will get the Word of God into your heart, so that you are ready to be more than a conqueror in any situation. Love You!

Remember dear ones, we must be about our Father’s business…
