THE WAY OF THE RIGHTEOUS

The way of the righteous is level; thou dost make smooth the path of the righteous. Isa 26:7

RSV

Growing up, maturing, in any culture is never easy. There are always challenges to be overcome, standards to be met or exceeded, and life lessons to learned and understood. But there should come a time, in a stable culture, where the life of the young man or woman begins to become smooth. The same is true in spiritual growth.

There is an undercurrent of unbelief among Christians that says that life must always be a struggle, a losing battle, full of frustration and defeat. So many believers are ‘white knuckle Christians,’ holding on for dear life in the swirling currents of the world. Many times, we fail to see even one example of a life that is smooth in a congregation of believers. This is not the will of God.

Consider what the Word says. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them ALL (Psalm 34:19, 2 Timothy 3:11). ALL things work together for good to those who love God (Romans 8:28). In ALL these things we are more than conquerors through Him Who loved us (Romans 8:37). As a Bible teacher, I love the word ALL because it means ‘all’.

All my afflictions…all things…in all these things…ALL means ‘all.’ SELAH (consider these words)!

The problem with youth is that they are young. If I am struggling with something, there are only two possible conclusions: either my faith is immature, or I am outside of the will of God. If I am unsure of the will of God, all I have to do is ask the Lord. Depending on what He says, I either repent, ending the struggle, or seek ways to build up my faith, either by combining it with others or growing it up. Getting my faith built up releases the anointing to make the way smooth.

Our intern teachers are learning what happens when their faith is built up by reading the Word and praying much in tongues. Life becomes easier, smoother. Their faith is growing! Things they used to struggle with are becoming much easier. Bless God forever!

Praying in tongues and reading the Bible, as you spend much time in the presence of the Lord, is going to release the anointing to make your life smooth. Things you used to struggle for will begin to flow to you like a cool, clear river. Mountains will be brought down; valleys will be filled, as the Lord makes the way of the righteous level and smooth.

Remember, dear ones, we must be about our Father’s business…
