What is freedom? Freedom is the ability to choose between two distinct alternatives and, if wrong, to choose again. If your options are A, B, and C, and all three options are controlled by one source, are you really exercising freedom in your choice? No. If a doctor returns a diagnosis of, let’s say, severe illness, and says your choices are to follow his treatment procedures or not, meaning you’ll suffer the fullness of the illness, are you really operating freedom in your choice? No. You must have TRUE ALTERNATIVES to exercise freedom. Do you understand? This is where the promises of God come in…

…who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness — by whose stripes you were healed. 1 Peter 2:24 NKJV

In order for the promise of God to be a TRUE ALTERNATIVE, not just a hopeful wish, there must be two realities: a personal relationship with the promise and a clear path or clear instructions on how to manifest that promise. When, for instance, with healing, to have a personal relationship with the promise means going from ‘God wants to heal everyone’ to ‘God wants to heal ME.’ When the promise becomes personal, then you are halfway home. The woman with the issue of blood said, If I can just touch the hem of His garment, His TALITH, His prayer shawl, then I shall be whole. The promise of being healed in Jesus had become personal for her. She reached out, and the power of God fell…

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Phil 4:19 NKJV

Suppose your need is not healing, but a material need. Recently we had the joyful challenge of paying a huge bill for the graduation of our students in Kenya. This, for various reasons, was all quite unexpected! When we graduate students, we have to process and print their transcripts and diplomas, we get to bless each of the school directors with a financial gift, and if we can’t be there personally, we send our incredibly anointed representatives to speak and minister in our stead, and we take care of their needs and honor them, all of which is the right thing to do! So, we had an unexpected challenge, and I had to seek the Lord about what to do!

Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen. Phil 4:20 NKJV

The phrase ‘God’s will is God’s bill’ is a cliché which has a kernel of truth in it. ‘God’s will’ must change to ‘God specifically wants to pay this full bill and use these people in this way to accomplish His optimal will in this specific circumstance.’ Who does He want to process the transcripts and diplomas? Who does He want to print the diplomas? How does He want to bless the directors? Who does He want to be the incredibly anointed representatives, and how are they to be taken care of? It’s not about just paying a bill, it’s about using His money in the best possible way to fully bless and effect all maximally for His glory. Do you see that? This is the first part, where the promise becomes personal.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. James 1:5-7 NKJV

Then the second part was, how do we have a clear path or clear instructions on how to manifest the promise? This one had me flummoxed for about a day and a half. I had to sit in the presence of God until He spoke about how to solve this problem. You see, when you are sitting and praying in tongues, and God is not speaking, the Holy Spirit is doing a vital work in you, an absolute prerequisite to your receiving the instructions, which is that He is burning the doubt out of you. NEVER, EVER think that you are wasting your time when you are praying in tongues and not seeing results…it is a lie from your flesh, and probably from hell. James said that if we ask God, AND DO NOT DOUBT, He will tell us what to do. So, as you are praying in tongues and waiting, the Spirit is burning in you. Let the fire roar!

He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.  His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. Matt 3:11-12 NKJV

As I sat in His presence, He said ‘Do THIS, and two weeks later, do THIS, and I will work in My peoples hearts to take care of the full bill,’ and that’s exactly what happened.

When we consider what is possible, we have to train our hearts to think in terms of God-sized possibilities. There is a great record from Isaiah 38 that I shared with the intercessors along this line.

‘Behold, I will bring the shadow on the sundial, which has gone down with the sun on the sundial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward.” So the sun returned ten degrees on the dial by which it had gone down. Isa 38:8 NKJV

This happened! Let’s think about this…

It was, say, 3pm in the afternoon and all of the sudden its 130pm, or something like that. The question is: how did that happen? The earth, with its 27K mile circumference, rolls toward the east at 1100 miles per hour. God did not physically move the earth back toward the west instantly over a thousand miles, because that would have torn the earth apart and killed everything. But He did move it supernaturally. This happened!

Quantum physics teaches us that perception changes reality. You travel in a tube at over 500 miles per hour yet you have no real perception that you are traveling that fast. When you travel from east to west time bends and you actually lose minutes of time. Hello? And one wonders how God does miracles! What I perceive is that the known laws of physics – and my uncle was a physicist; you hunters that enjoy thermal imaging scopes can thank my uncle and his team – are SOME of the laws of the spirit of God and how He works. Keep thinking, praying and believing, dear ones…’

One of the great ways to train your heart for the possibilities of God is to use your imagination. Do you know that we are seeing more restorative healing, where body parts are growing out and replacing parts that have been taken away through surgery? Imagine that! Animals have that happen, specifically certain reptiles, so why can’t God do that with you? For years I imagined my new office and prayer room on our house. When we remodeled our house, the finished reality was even greater than I imagined. Now we enjoy them!

If you want to change something for God’s glory, imagine what things would be like if that occurred. Imagine it happening! You don’t get rid of darkness by dwelling on the darkness. You get rid of darkness by introducing light. For years my wife prayed and decreed that her brother would be saved. Yesterday we watched his water baptism in Sacramento over the internet. Oh Happy Day! If you want a healthy and happy family, if you want a prosperous and happy neighborhood, a great city, happy relationships between peoples and nations, imagine it coming to pass. Dwell on it. Think about it. As you think about the things you want for God’s glory, you are preparing your soul, opening it up, to receive revelation and the gift of faith, THE POSSIBLE ANOINTING, to bring the power of God that impacts the situation. Anything you want for God’s glory, dream it until you believe it and the revelation comes.

Another great key to THE POSSIBLE ANOINTING is understanding your intrinsic value versus your utilitarian value. Utilitarian value says that I have value because I can do THIS or THAT. If I lose that ability I lose value. If I’m not valuable, then why keep me around? I once tried to minister to a rich young man who was dying of cancer. I could see he was surrounded by family members who were just waiting for him to die so they could divide his money. I told him, if you don’t get away from these people, you will die. His life had lost all value to them. They had broken his heart and his will. The best thing, in their eyes, he could do for them was to die, and he did. This is the cruel reality of utilitarian value.

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Gal 2:20 NKJV

But with intrinsic value you have value not for what you do, but for who you are. Every human being has intrinsic value. This is why you can minister healing to the worst unsaved moron as well as the most beautiful saint, and God will meet you and them with all His glory and blessing. Jesus equated your value with His own as Paul teaches us in Galatians. He gave Himself for Yourself. Think of yourself that way!

Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession (Grk. HUPERENTUGCHANO: super intercession) for us with groanings which cannot be uttered (by the senses mind). Rom 8:26 NKJV

THE POSSIBLE ANOINTING is the gift of faith which turns revelation into power. Speaking in tongues and the gift of faith are the two critical gifts of the nine that make all the difference in your life and ministry. Speaking in tongues builds up your spirit and your faith, making super intercession according to the will of God and the gift of faith turns revelation into power. All things are possible to them who believe. If you can operate these gifts effectively, you can change the world. Imagine that! Love you!
