THE INDISPENSABLE KEY OF COMPASSION

…and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick. Matt 14:14 NKJV

Compassion is seeing the world through God’s eyes. Realize that God is totally unoffended and unoffendable; He has no wounds, He has no ‘issues.’ He is unthreatened, unharmed, unapproachable by evil, and completely secure in all that He does. All things are under His feet. He created the world, and all that is in it in its purest form, and His will ultimately can never be compromised. He has no competition. He is God alone, and we are His sons and daughters!

…made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, Eph 2:5-7 NKJV

Compassion comes out of strength. He has made us like Himself. As He is, so are we in this world. Our spiritual foundation is unshakable because it is founded in Him and not our own works. Someday, we are going to see a generation of people who rise up and believe that truth. Compassion is an anointing that falls on a pure and prepared heart. You see someone, even a total stranger, and you have an immediate connection with them. Compassion is a connection between God, you and the other person or thing.

And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.” Acts 3:4-5 NKJV

The young lady dragged herself on crutches into the small hut where we were meeting. As I noticed her, the Holy Spirit said, “You have an appointment with her!” When it came time to pray for folks, she was the first one up. That night she carried home her crutches, instead of being carried by them. That was the connection we call being ‘moved by compassion.’

This man heard Paul speaking. Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed,  said with a loud voice, “Stand up straight on your feet!” And he leaped and walked. Acts 14:9-11 NKJV

Compassion can cause you to bless a person, a group, a city or a nation. Now you can be moved by compassion unknowingly. But you can learn to recognize compassion in yourself because there will always be a connection. Dr. Alveda King prayed with for me to have an anointing of compassion to reconcile disparate parties, like races, even though she states that ’there are no races of men.’ As we both almost went down as she prayed, she said I got ‘a good dose.’

Then Elijah passed by him and threw his mantle on him. 1 Kings 19:19 NKJV

What are you connected to? That is what you will always have compassion for, and what you will always be able to bless. If we want to win the lost, then we must have compassion for them, and we must open our souls to have a connection with them. No connection, no compassion, no real winning of the lost.

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. Mark 16:15, 16 NKJV

Same is true with ministering to the sick. This key of compassion and connection is the reason why so many who have been sick and recovered are able to minister effectively to those who are sick with that particular problem. Now God can fill you with compassion for the weak, sick, hurting and lost, rich or poor, even if you have never been in their place. Jesus was never sick, never sinned, but because He had an unoffended, unoffendable pure heart, the Holy Spirit was able to fill and keep Him filled with compassion.

Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. 2 Cor 6:17 NKJV

Now, to get filled with compassion, your walls have to come down. The cursed fantasy worlds that social media has created have only increased our walls to the real world. Don’t like what you see? Then go live in FARMVILLE or pornville or whatever fantasy life you want, where you are the ‘star’ and the king of your universe. God have mercy…

But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Prov 18:24 NKJV

Social media has caused us to become harder, colder, and more distant, with more walls. The word ‘friend’ has been reduced to a meaningless statistic, instead of the life-enabling essence that a true friend is. This is why the first thing we did in our initial prototype immersion style Holy Spirit Seminar, which was overwhelmingly successful, was to cut everyone off from the internet while in the seminar.

Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. Prov 27:6 NKJV

The key to real compassion, to real connection, is to see the Holy Spirit burn down and crush our emotional and spiritual walls, as He purifies our hearts with holiness and love.

The simple practical way to get there is through reading and praying the Word over ourselves, and by praying much in tongues. The Holy Spirit told one dear saint to pray and personalize in prayer Psalm 119 over themselves, doing an acrostic section daily, to become a man after God’s own heart. One of the great purposes of praying in tongues is to release the fire of God over your own heart to burn up the worthless wickedness that produces walls. Why do we always fear the wickedness in others but not the wickedness within ourselves? Let’s burn it up!

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. Matt 28:19-20 NKJV

The mandate of the Church is to win the world back to Christ. The indispensable key is the compassion of Christ which is in you. Get off of social media and go have a real conversation with someone. Take the video games away from your kids and go make them play with real children. Break down the walls between you and your neighbors. You might actually make a connection, enabling you to really minister to them. If we want to fulfill our divine calling then the indispensable key is compassion. Love you!

Remember dear ones, we must be about our Father’s business…
