THE CHALLENGE OF REVELATION

Lightbearers MinistriesUncategorized

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Phil 4:19 NKJV

Revelation is key in receiving the promises of God. Let me give you an example. One time I promised a member of our church that I would help him start a window cleaning business. One day as I was driving into town, the Holy Spirit said, “Go to ‘this street’ and talk to the manager of this ‘fast food restaurant’ about cleaning his windows.” So, I drive over there and, sure enough, the manager is there and wants to have his windows cleaned. I offer to have my guy come at 7am the next morning and clean his windows. The next morning the young man comes and cleans his windows. Unbeknownst to the young man or myself, the district manager is there, and before the young man leaves, he has a contract to clean twenty-two stores and start his business. Hallelujah!

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil 4:13 NKJV

The man had a need. Because I loved him and wanted to help him, and had faith for business, the Lord gave me the revelation to help him start his business. I’ve always believed that I could go anywhere and do anything if I have revelation because that is what the Word says. On quite a number of occasions I have gone to a certain place and found someone I had never met because I was given revelation to do so. I only bring these up because of what I want to impart to you through this sharing.

One time I heard about a pastor In Zimbabwe, a man named Berry. The Lord told me to go find him. I fly into Harare because that is the only international airport in the country, and get a room at the Intercontinental hotel. This was a training trip! I get out of my hotel, just kind of following my nose, and start walking the streets of the city. Soon, I see a sign, an actual physical sign, that says LIVING WATERS CHURCH. I go upstairs…and walk into Berry’s office! Now, I got robbed twice on this trip, so don’t think TOO HIGHLY of your friend Kevin. After all, training sometimes involves stubbing your toe!

When you are believing for revelation to solve a problem or meet a need, you start with the supposition that God loves you and wants to meet your need, and that this need is available to be received some where and in some way. This is your starting point. I knew God wanted me to go to Bible College. BC back in the 70’s cost $300 per month for room, board and all your activities. So, I went and sat in the woods and asked God to tell me thirty names of folks who would sponsor me for $10 per month. He gave me thirty names. All thirty accepted, and I went to school! ‘Some where’ and ‘some way’ is what He has to show you by revelation…

I want you to see that clear, precise revelation is to work in every category of your life.

The Lord is so loving, but He seems so distant to many people because they fail to see the material manifestation of His goodness. They don’t get answers to prayer! If you are in that boat, then let’s dig down and get answers so that we can get answers. Now, we are talking about revelation, but the key to hearing God’s voice is in being secure in who you are in Him. Jesus said, I know that You hear Me always! You and I can have that same kind of relationship with Abba Father.

For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. Rom 5:17 NKJV

My friend Dale pointed this out as a major key in receiving healing especially. The Lord makes healing available, just like all the promises, but the devil comes and accuses us of being unworthy. I recently read the book of Job where Job proclaims ‘I’m righteous, I’m righteous, I’m righteous!’ and his friends say, ‘No, you’re not! No, you’re not! No, you’re not!’ Finally, the Lord has to come along and say, ‘It’s not about you, Job…it’s about Me!’ Job gets his heart right, gets healed, gets completely restored, and his friends would have been cut off (died) if Job had not prayed from them. You and I must receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness!

Forgive the man in the mirror, and open your heart to the gift of righteousness. You don’t deserve to suffer, even if you think you do. You deserve to be healed and be whole because Jesus bought you with His blood. When you break the mold of unworthiness, with the Spirit’s help, you will be in a far easier place to hear the direction of your Abba.

…that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 1 Tim 2:2 NKJV

Learn to lead a quiet life.

…but deliver us from evil (men)…Matt 6:13 KJV

We live in a time of unparalleled evil. The UN estimates that perhaps 130 million additional people will starve due to the China virus lockdowns (IMPRIMIS, Oct., Hillsdale.edu). 130 million additional people starve because 1-2 million worldwide have died of the virus? Something far more evil than a virus is afoot here in our world. You and I had better learn to hear the clear, precise voice of God!

With a quiet life, you want to fill your heart with the Word and the Spirit. Lest I give you some arbitrary standard, this is something you have to figure out for yourself. But the indication you are full of the Spirit is the fruit of the Spirit. Love, joy, peace! In that environment of godliness with contentment you are in a wonderful place to hear the voice of God.

How do you hear the voice of God in a crisis?

Let me say first of all that God speaks the same way in a crisis as He does when everything is great. The crisis has not changed God! He is still there to meet you and fulfil all of His promises. What you need in a crisis is still ‘out there’ ‘somewhere’ waiting for you to be led by the Spirit to find it. Get yourself quiet, go listen to God and start following your nose…

…If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5-6 NKJV

Sometimes you will have a decision to make and you need to know the way to go. If at all possible take time to go be in the presence of God for a few days so that you can really be quiet. Pour your heart out before Him and then listen. Revelation is two-way communication. You talk, you listen. You can argue if you feel strongly about your position. You can seek answers to your concerns, every single one of them, and He will speak to you about them.

I want you to learn to receive revelation about every category, every aspect of your life. Don’t settle for vague feelings! Get specific words. We need to take God out of just being in church to the boardroom, to the classroom, to the office, with our kids, with our families, with our communities, and even our nations. The Church should run the world, not the devil. You and I are the Church. Let’s accept the challenge and go run with the Lord!

Remember dear ones, we must be about our Father’s business…
