SUPERNATURAL PROVISION
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Phil 4:19 NKJV
The Spirit led believer should be able to survive and thrive under any conditions. Think of the supernatural, miraculous provisions in the Word – Peter finds the money to pay his taxes in the mouth of a fish, Abraham finds a ram in a thicket (to Isaac’s great relief!) to sacrifice instead of Isaac, ravens feed Elijah by a brook. Think of manna in the wilderness, water out of a rock, quails falling on the camp of Israel, a pot that kept pouring out oil, five loaves and two fishes. Then there is an earthquake in a prison, a large fish for a drowning prophet, and an angelic ‘stay of execution.’ And, we could go on and on…
What positions an individual for miraculous provision? Peter, apparently, was positioned well while sleeping in his prison cell, Paul and Silas while singing in their jail. Abraham, as a type of God the Father, offering the son of His promise, Isaac, on what many believe to be Mount Moriah and the location of the Holy of holies, believed that God would raise his son to fulfill His promise (Heb.11:19). Be still, and know that He is God. You must learn to train your mind to the stillness of God by staying your thoughts on Him. Panic in all of its wicked forms can get you an early ticket to Heaven. When Jesus was confronted with the woman taken in adultery, whose life was at stake, He knelt down and traced the sacred name of God in the dirt (Yod – He – Vau – He), over and over, waiting on the perfect reply. Practice daily staying your mind on the sacred name of God the Father, YAHWEH; YESHUA the Son and the RUACH KODESH, the Holy Spirit. Practice until anxiety and stress becomes a thing of the past.
Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. Prov 4:23 NKJV
There is an axiom of faith that says that we live at the level we accept – not what we desire, what we accept. If you are poor but refuse to accept being poor, you are not going to be poor forever. Your heart will find a way to rise out of poverty. Demand of your heart that every cursed thing that denies the word of God must leave – poverty, inferiority, cruelty, mediocrity, callousness, fear, victimhood; any paradigm that denies truth, virtue and righteousness. Take a checkup from the neck up. What do you accept?
…and nothing will be impossible for you. Matt 17:20 NKJV
If you want supernatural provision, get the paradigms of your mind and heart right. Don’t assume you have already done this. We set the ceilings of our faith – what we honestly think ‘can’ and ‘can’t’ be done. Nothing shall be impossible to those who believe. Your faith comes from your heart (Romans 10:9). Do you see why you must guard it with all diligence? Your heart will draw into your life the material manifestation of the things that are in it.
With this brief foundational introduction, we are ready to consider how to receive supernatural provision.
The rock of your provision has two basic aspects of its foundation – the written Word and the RHEMA word of revelation. Each speak of the provision of God, bringing Heaven to earth. Jesus said that man shall live by every RHEMA word that comes from the mouth of God (Mt.4:4). This implies that in EVERY life-threatening situation the Lord will release a RHEMA word to catch you, to undergird you, to keep you alive. You must position yourself to receive it…
How do you receive revelation? Under what circumstances, under what conditions, does God talk to you? With passively received revelation, I find many times that God talks to me when I’m not thinking about the problem. Running, doing a workout, praying in tongues quietly out on the deck, standing in a relaxing hot water shower – these all can be times when my mind drops its guard so to speak and I’m open to downloads from Heaven.
Other times I’m actively seeking revelation. I’m laying questions before Him or focusing on hearing from Him. When I’m effectively in worship, even early in the morning awakening the dawn, these are times that getting that RHEMA word can be very effective. But by far in my experience the most effective way I position myself for and to receive revelation is by praying in tongues in love (1Cor.13:1) for long periods of time. I’ve proven this with believers all over the world!
Let me warn you that if you go to seek revelation for supernatural provision and still have a poverty or inferiority paradigm in your heart you will struggle mightily. These are cursed mental illnesses that must be thrown out, abandoned, repudiated. I’m not saying it is impossible, but you will definitely make it difficult for yourself to receive.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. James 3:17-18 NKJV
People get thoughts like, “You will be okay” or “God is in control” and think they are getting revelation. That is not revelation. God does not speak in religious clichés. The purpose of revelation is to get you from point A, where you are now, to point B, the manifestation of the will of God. Sometimes, all that it takes is for a simple word from God – Kenneth Copeland says that one word from God can change your life forever – to lock you in with the gift of faith to produce the miracles. Other times, it may be a more detailed word that you have to walk out step by step.
But earnestly desire the best gifts. 1 Cor 12:31 NKJV
If you need miraculous, supernatural provision, there are two things that I can assure you of – there is provision to meet your need that is available to you either in Heaven or on earth somewhere, and that the Lord will give you a RHEMA word or RHEMA words that specifically enable you receive it. Corinthians tells us to pursue the best gifts. Right now the best gift is the working of miracles. We can enjoy that gift because there is supernatural provision available just for you. Love you!
