Happy Passover and Holy Week! During this time of shutdowns, physical distancing and having to shelter in place, I want you to know that we at Lightbearers Ministries are here for you, and we can help. Let me first encourage you to pray, read the Word of God and hold God to His promises.

In some ways, this time reminds me of a long ministry trip. There will be a day when things change for the better. Jesus’ delight was in the fear of the Lord, and one great practical application of the fear of the Lord is continuous prayer, i.e. praying much in tongues! Study the promises regarding the fear of the Lord and you’ll be in encouraged to pray continually. Here are a few…

 The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. His (MESSIAH’S) delight is in the fear of the Lord… Isa 11:2-3 NKJV

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge… Prov 1: 7 NKJV

In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, and His children will have a place of refuge. The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to turn one away from the snares of death. Prov 14:26-27 NKJV

The fear of the Lord leads to life, and he who has it will abide in satisfaction; He will not be visited with evil. Prov 19:23 NKJV

By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches and honor and life. Prov 22:4 NKJV

Four great principles here in Proverbs Two to lead us into the fear of the Lord: receiving God’s Word into your heart, humbling yourself, fervent prayer, and holy desperation…

My son, if you receive my words, and treasure my commands within you, So that you incline your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding; Yes, if you cry out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding, if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. Prov 2:1-5 NKJV
