A man will be as a hiding place from the wind, and a cover from the tempest, as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land. Isa 32:2 NKJV
The spirit of victory is in the heart of the Church. Greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. We are well equipped to handle Goliath and his brothers who defy the armies of the living God. Just as it was with Moses and Joshua, no man shall be able to stand before us all the days of our lives. The heart of the Lion of Judah dwells in every born again one, and we move from victory to victory.
To move from victory to victory implies moving from fight to fight so we embrace the Spirit of the Lord of Hosts – stop to consider that Jesus is called the Lord of Hosts, the Armies, more than any other title in the Bible – and are ready to lay down our lives as living sacrifices if need be. Love plus righteousness equals courage. The Lord is calling us to be a hiding place for young believers and even the unsaved including future generations, a cover from the storm, like rivers of waters that bring life wherever we go, the shadow and protection of a great rock in a weary land.
Some may say that Isaiah 32:2 refers to Christ. My response is, who is in you? And, how does He work in the world but through you?
Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you… 1 Sam 12:23 NKJV
In 2021, the Lord will bring to prominence those, both men and women, whom He has prepared to be the fulfillment of Isaiah 32:2. True ministries will arise that shield the people of God and even the unsaved by supernatural means. His people will arise in discernment and follow those who deliver them in power. The darker the night, the brighter the stars will shine!
…and indeed God has granted you all those who sail with you. Acts 27:24-25 NKJV
How can a man or woman be a hiding place? A born-again one’s power and authority flows from their perfect standing before ABBA and from the fountain of living waters within them. You allow that authority to flow out of you to cover the ones you are hiding. You say, ‘Nothing shall happen to them because of the Lord’s authority that comes out of me.’ There is where you make your stand. Someone once said that we are to break or release the vase of oil that would come out of Lightbearers to bless the whole world. That release of the oil of God extends the shield of faith that covers and protects those for whom it is directed. Thus, for them you become a hiding place. Do you see it?
Therefore take heart, men, for I believe God that it will be just as it was told me. Acts 27:25-26 NKJV
No one died on the wheat ship because Paul prayed, got revelation, and believed the revelation that he received. He was a cover from the tempest, like the shadow of a great rock in a weary land. Jesus did the same thing for Peter. Satan desired to sift Peter like wheat but the Lord prayed for him…and satans plan failed. This is an effective covering, making a lifechanging difference in someone’s life, even an unbeliever. This is true ministry. You can do this!
“Come near to Me, hear this: I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; From the time that it was, I was there. And now the Lord God and His Spirit have sent Me.” Isa 48:16 NKJV
Let’s get you more intimately acquainted with the Spirit of God.
For as the body without the spirit is dead…James 2:26 NKJV
You are a threefold being of spirit, soul and body. Your spirit is just as real as your face; in fact it is the living force that empowers your physical body. The Godhead – Abba, Yeshua and the Holy Spirit – dwells in your spirit, not in your mind or soul. Your spirit is called your heart. Revelation comes to your spirit from the Holy Spirit and your spirit communicates it to your mind. You say, where did that thought come from? Did it originate in my mind, following a daisy chain of thoughts, or did it come from my spirit, like a thought ‘out of the blue’?
Here’s another thought – reason comes from your soul, but revelation comes from your spirit. Revelation is many times unreasonable. Your choice is to listen to your soul, your reason, or to listen to your heart where God speaks. There are always plenty of good reasons not to believe revelation. So, acting on revelation requires courage. It takes courage to be a hiding place!
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Tim 1:7 NKJV
Let’s confront the NUMBER ONE PROBLEM that afflicts us folks who have been introduced to the gifts of the Spirit – fear or cowardice. Speaking of prophetic statements, the first verse I ever heard shared from the Bible was 2 Timothy 1:7 ‘…God has not given us a spirit of cowardice…’ Cowardice works like this – the voice of God in your spirit says ‘Share the gospel with that person.’ You know who He is talking about. You only have a couple of minutes but that is all you need. But our minds are rationalizing machines because we have been influenced by the spirit of fear. Within seconds of the word from God we have excuses jumping up in our brain to deny the Lord ‘s command, excuses that justify disobedience. We wonder why we see no miracles…
Here is the answer to fear – your love, your compassion, your desire to do the will of God, to bring Heaven to earth, has to outweigh your concern about consequences. Your life is not your own. Now, we are NOT talking about being irrational. Revelation is not irrational – it is superrational, divine wisdom trumps human wisdom. Trust is the key…
Now the other key gift to make you a hiding place is the gift of faith. The gift of faith empowers revelation to become miracles. Indeed, it is the ‘bridge’ between revelation and miracles. It works by a command or a decree. Most people don’t know how to give a command without getting angry. Practice giving commands. Speak directly to the object of your command and tell it exactly what to do. Same with a decree.
The clearest, simplest example of someone making a decree came from a speech President Bush made about the Iraq takeover of Kuwait in 1990. He said, “This will not stand!” I heard that and said to myself, ‘this is over, a done deal’ because probably the one person in the whole world with the authority and power to make that statement had said it. It was a done deal! Revelation gives you the authority to use the gift of faith to produce miracles.

I would be derelict in teaching if I did not mention the great gift of tongues in producing living waters that flows out of you. Peter kept the five hours of prayer in orthodox Judaism and you can imagine that he spent those hours praying in tongues. He became so full of the Spirit of God that his shadow healed people. Oh, this will preach!
…so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. Acts 5:15-16 NKJV
You can be a hiding place for the weak ones, whether they are unsaved or just new believers. By revelation and the gift of faith you can extend grace over those whom the Lord gives you, not only just to preserve their lives but to cause all within your sphere of influence to flourish. Business owners should be a covering for all of their people including customers, and even competitors under the ‘love your neighbor’ clause. Politicians should be a covering for their constituents. Some of us realize it now, but history will someday acknowledge President Trump as a great hiding place – he extended grace, for the American people!
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Rom 8:37 NKJV
The times are dark, dear ones, and most likely they will get darker before they get better. But if we become hiding places we can mitigate the darkness and be part of the solution of turning back to the light. Consecrate yourself anew to Him who is the Hiding Place and seek your instructions. And, lets walk together in 2021. Love you!
