The Peacemaker Anointing

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons (Grk. HUIOS) of God. Matt 5:9 NKJV

There are practical demonstrations of the reality of Christianity that still need to be made on the earth. The peacemaker anointing is one of them.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. Rom 8:14-15 NKJV

There are five levels of spiritual growth. The HUIOS level, the son level is the fourth level, before the PATER level, the father level. The great characteristic of a ‘son’ level believer is that they are led by the Spirit. In other words, they say and do the right thing at the right time consistently. A peacemaker is someone who ends conflicts, whether it is between two people, in a family, a community, or even between nations. The peacemaker says and does the right thing at the right time to diffuse situations and disarm demons of hatred, violence and war. The peacemaker brings just reconciliation between conflicted parties for the edification of all. The peacemaker, the son of God led by the Spirit demonstrates Ephesians level authority over the earth to bring in the will of God, bringing Heaven to earth. You and I can be peacemakers.

ANGELIC PROTECTION PREVENTING WAR

When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. Prov 16:7 NKJV

Then God said to Jacob, “Arise, go up to Bethel and dwell there; and make an altar there to God, who appeared to you when you fled from the face of Esau your brother.” 2 And Jacob said to his household and to all who were with him, “Put away the foreign gods that are among you, purify yourselves, and change your garments. 3 Then let us arise and go up to Bethel; and I will make an altar there to God, who answered me in the day of my distress and has been with me in the way which I have gone.” 4 So they gave Jacob all the foreign gods which were in their hands, and the earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the terebinth tree which was by Shechem. 5 And they journeyed, and the terror of God was upon the cities that were all around them, and they did not pursue the sons of Jacob. Gen 35:1-5 NKJV

Jacob hears from God and commands his family to turn from their foreign idols, preparing them to worship the true God at the altar in Bethel. True worship positions you for angelic protection and divine favor, bringing peace and prosperity. Think also of the mercy of God which was extended to those cities that were around Jacob, that not one of their sons and daughters died in war fighting against Jacob. We often think of how we are spared suffering, but our ‘enemies’ are spared suffering as well as we walk in the peacemaker anointing. That is truly ‘loving your neighbor’!

ELISHA STOPS A WAR

THE KING HAS NO PRIVACY!

Now the king of Syria was making war against Israel; and he consulted with his servants, saying, “My camp will be in such and such a place.” 9 And the man of God sent to the king of Israel, saying, “Beware that you do not pass this place, for the Syrians are coming down there.” 10 Then the king of Israel sent someone to the place of which the man of God had told him. Thus he warned him, and he was watchful there, not just once or twice. 11 Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was greatly troubled by this thing; and he called his servants and said to them, “Will you not show me which of us is for the king of Israel?” 12 And one of his servants said, “None, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom.” 13 So he said, “Go and see where he is, that I may send and get him.” And it was told him, saying, “Surely he is in Dothan.” 2 Kings 6:8-13 NKJV

The level of anointing and revelation that we can walk in is amazing! We serve a God from whom NOTHING is hidden. Jesus knew the thoughts of those He was dealing with. Paul discerned the hearts of the people he was facing. Elisha knew the plans of the Syrian king and even the intimate thoughts in his bedchamber. I suspect that being a real man or woman of God is much more fun, much more exciting and interesting than even ‘reels’ on Facebook, or ‘the secret lives of Mormon wives’ streaming on the internet!

THOSE WHO ARE WITH US ARE MORE THAN THOSE WHO ARE WITH THEM!

Therefore he sent horses and chariots and a great army there, and they came by night and surrounded the city. 15 And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” 16 So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 18 So when the Syrians came down to him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, and said, “Strike this people, I pray, with blindness.” And He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha. 2 Kings 6:14-18NKJV

I recently saw a very powerful presentation of a dark religion where they said they had miracles and healings. I confronted one of their spokesmen afterwards and, very politely, asked if they had verifiable proof of those miracles, like names, dates, places. He confirmed for me that they had no proof, that they had essentially made the whole thing up. Dear ones, we have names, dates, places; many of us are walking testimonies of the miracle working power of God. That’s Christianity! That’s our God, the true One. Elisha as a peacemaker walks in great power to bring the mercy of God – not one of the Syrians died – to all involved.

Interestingly, this was not ‘turn the lights out’ blindness. God’s smuggler, Brother Andrew would pray, ‘Lord you made blind eyes to see, now make seeing eyes blind,’ and He would. They just couldn’t recognize Elisha, or where they were. But they were also impressed enough to follow a total stranger who led them to another city entirely. Elisha must have had such a commanding presence by the anointing of God, a peacemaker anointing, that hardened soldiers easily followed him. Paul did not have an imposing physical presence, nor do I believe Samson did, but they had a tremendous anointing. Don’t think you can’t walk in a great anointing if you are not physically imposing. You are who God says you are!

MERCY TRIUMPHS OVER JUDGMENT

Now Elisha said to them, “This is not the way, nor is this the city. Follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom you seek.” But he led them to Samaria. 20 So it was, when they had come to Samaria, that Elisha said, “Lord, open the eyes of these men, that they may see.” And the Lord opened their eyes, and they saw; and there they were, inside Samaria! 21 Now when the king of Israel saw them, he said to Elisha, “My father, shall I kill them? Shall I kill them?”

22 But he answered, “You shall not kill them. Would you kill those whom you have taken captive with your sword and your bow? Set food and water before them, that they may eat and drink and go to their master.” 23 Then he prepared a great feast for them; and after they ate and drank, he sent them away and they went to their master. So the bands of Syrian raiders came no more into the land of Israel. 2 Kings 6:19-23 NKJV

Don’t you just love happy endings? Here was a war where NOBODY DIED. You have to wonder if any of those Syrians became believers in the God of Israel, like Naaman the Syrian general did after his miracle. You go out to war, you expect people to die, and nobody dies. Not even a shot is fired! The Syrian raiders, and the king of Israel, the people of Dothan, and Elisha’s servant, must have been blown away! That’s the peacemaker anointing…

The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs — heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. Rom 8:16-17 NKJV

Behold, I give you the authority (Grk. EXOUSIA) to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19 NKJV

Here is the crux of the matter. As my friend Dale pointed out to me years ago, the Greek word for authority – EXOUSIA – is made up of the prefix EK, meaning out of, and ESTI meaning ‘I am.’ When you put those two truths together, authority is what comes OUT OF YOU, when YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. Who are you? Our ABBA, our Father, is the King of the Universe, which is the way He is described in Hebrew prayer. You are His son or daughter, and you are a joint heir with Christ, therefore you are a crown prince or crown princess in the royal family of God! That is who you are. Now, LIVE THAT OUT every day, wherever you go, whatever you do. You will bring peace, joy and righteousness wherever you go, and the blessing and glory of God will follow you. That’s the peacemaker anointing! Amen? Go get ‘em, dear one…love you!

Remember dear one, we must be about our Father’s business…
