THE ANOINTING ‘IN’ AND ‘ON’ ; Operate in Love

The Holy Spirit dwells in your spirit at the time of the new birth – John 14:17, Phil.2:13. 

Speaking in tongues comes out of your spirit as you will because the Holy Spirit dwells in you.  

1 Cor. 14:14, 15 

The Holy Spirit comes upon you to bring power. Acts 1:8 

Diverse kinds of tongues comes out of your spirit as the Spirit moves upon you. Interpretation of tongues comes out of your spirit as the Spirit moves upon you. Prophecy comes out of you as the Spirit moves upon you. 2 peter 1:21. 

Word of knowledge comes into your spirit as the Spirit moves upon you. Word of wisdom comes into your spirit as the Spirit moves upon you. James 1:5,6. 

Discerning of spirits comes into your spirit as the Spirit moves upon you. Faith comes into your spirit as the Spirit moves upon you. Gifts of healings comes into your spirit as the Spirit moves upon you. Working of miracles comes into your spirit as the Spirit moves upon you. Judges 14:6, 15:14. 

We are to covet, pray for and desire the giver and His gifts but we cannot will them to come except speaking in tongues. 

Learn the art of listening. 

The Holy Spirit desires to and does give these gifts in light of a believers faith and maturity, and the overall profit and benefit to the church. 

The gifts can be abused so flow in them in love, faith and honesty. You will be judged for your faithfulness in regard to the gifts. The greatest abuse of the gifts is to ignore them, to ‘bury’ them. Matt 25:24-30. 

Operate In Love 

Love activates faith. Faith is spelled r-i-s-k. Gal. 5:6, 1 Samuel 16:7 

1 Corinthians 13 – all the gifts are operated in love. 

V. 1 – Agape – the love of God in manifestation. Tongues. 

V. 2 & 3 – prophecy, word of wisdom, word of knowledge and faith.  

Love is the multiplying factor. 

V. 4 – 7 

‘Seeketh not her own’ (what?) – will – John 5:30, glory – John 8:50. 

‘Is not provoked’ – we act, not react. Thinks – logizomai – to reckon, to count, to keep in a ledger. 

‘Bears’ – cover over with silence. 

V. 8 – 10  

Love is God’s strategy in all things. 

With all the gifts, we still only know in part. The gifts are here until the rapture. 

V. 11 – 12 – we become men in that day that we see Him face to face. 

V.13.  

Summary: we are to be diligent to operate all the gifts in love because love energizes faith and hope. Love is the great strategy for success.
