Dear One,

The Lord bless you!

In our seven-week run up to Pentecost Sunday we want to review some of the great realities of the Holy Spirit and His gifts. Have you ever asked yourself, “What is our number one job as followers of Christ?” It’s winning the lost: your knucklehead neighbor, your coworker, your softball league buddy, your spouse, those who don’t know Jesus. How do you do that? And, how can the HS help you do that? You’ll be surprised. It’s fun, exciting, and very do-able. That’s what we are going to look at here!

Love you! KRP

THE GREAT ADVANTAGE

Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. John 16:7 NKJV

Traditional methods of mass evangelism are an old wineskin. When T.L. Osborne went into Kenya and had meetings with 100K+ folks attending, it was what I call a ‘Samson anointing.’ Samson was a one-man army because Israel had no heart to be the army of God. Israel was either too young, too weak or too infirm to raise an army, so God had to raise up one man. Samson was awesome, but Samson was not the primary will of God. God raised up men like T.L.Osborne, Oral Roberts, Reinhart Bonnke and others because His primary avenue, the Church was not trained and positioned to do it naturally. There still may be times when these methods are necessary, but the next great move of God in evangelism will be through the unnamed and unheralded man and woman on the street doing miracles in Jesus’ name, and bringing their fruit to small, family-oriented house churches. The church of empowered believers is rising up!

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil 4:13 NKJV

When Carl first introduced me to the principles of prophetic evangelism in 2015, I realized I’d been doing it for almost twenty years in planting schools, and that it was an extension in application of the principles we’ve taught in ministering healing for years. The Lord trained me! For instance, early in our ministry, I heard about a certain pastor in a certain country with no other details. The Lord told me, Go find him! Armed only with a name and a country, I flew into the capital city. I got a hotel room and went out to walk the streets, just following my nose. I saw a sign that said, Church of the Living Waters. I said, That sounds like our people! I walked in, went upstairs and walked into the office of the man I was seeking. It was that easy because God was in it, bless God forever! The Lord is a good trainer…

I used those same principles to go to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and plant a school there that lasted over ten years. In the span of three days, not knowing anyone on the ground but only that the Lord wanted me to go there and plant a school, the job was done. It was 2005, and the same weekend that Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. I arrived on Saturday night. I got a room at a major hotel, and in the morning, asked the concierge if he knew of any Christian churches in Addis. He had a listing for one Catholic and one Pentecostal church, which was located near the big tree beside the Coca Cola bottling plant. I took off with a taxi driver who couldn’t speak English, and we flew down the road inquiring of pedestrians as to the location of the bottling plant. Finally arriving at the plant, we drove around its exterior until we found a big tree. There next to the big tree was a small Pentecostal church where I met John. John was a missionary from Kenya who had come to Addis to reach the Ethiopians and teach them of the living God. He had tried to start a school, but his curriculum was not adequate. He examined ours and was quite impressed. He ran a school of ministry with our materials for ten years until he finally left the country!

Prophetic evangelism is an extension of the plan we use in ministering healing, a very thorough approach that has brought great results. Man is a three-fold being of spirit, soul and body. Each aspect of his being must be addressed. When you address it, there are three things you can do – you can take something out, you can put something in, and you can fix something. In ministering healing, you are not talking TO God, you are speaking FOR God and to the spirit, soul and body of the individual. You start with asking the Lord about each aspect of the person and what He wants to do there, and He shows you by revelation. A great man of God called it ‘bone theater.’ This is key to your success, asking specific questions of the Lord, hearing and seeing what He communicates, then acting accordingly.

The same is true in prophetic evangelism. You ask the Lord to lead you to someone that you could lead to Him. You ask, who are they, man or woman?  What is their name? Where are they? What do they look like? How are they dressed? What is their need and how can you help them? You write down your impressions, your answers, and you go immediately. You will be amazed at how accurately you can receive revelation.

That first night Carl took three of us through asking those questions and writing down our answers. Someone got that it would be a place in the city with round streetlights. I got a name, I think it was Randall. So, we knew we were looking for a man possibly named Randall at a place in the city with round streetlights. The only place in the city where there were round streetlights was in front of the police station. We go, Carl parks the truck, jumps out and proceeds to three men standing under the round streetlights in front of the police station. He’s on fire, and he proceeds to prophesy to each guy intimate details about his childhood and personal life. The guys’ reaction? They think they are on a TV show! One guy is named Randy. Carl tells me later that God was showing him the details as he was speaking to them. THIS was fun!

So, you want to see prophetic evangelism in the Bible? Glad you asked!

Prophetic evangelism involves the gifts of prophecy and the revelation gifts, and you can be led into the gifts of faith, working of miracles and gifts of healing, right there in your neighbor’s yard. You can do all of these! As you read, you’ll see my comments in block letters.

5 So He came to a city of Samaria which is called Sychar, near the plot of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. 6 Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour (ABOUT NOONTIME). 7 A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.”  (CULTURALLY, A JEW WOULD NEVER SPEAK TO A SAMARITAN WOMAN LIKE THIS. JESUS WAS MOVED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT. IN PROPHETIC EVANGELISM, YOU WILL BE TOO) 8 For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food. 9 Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans (SEE?). 10 Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” (STRAIGHT PROPHECY) 11 The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? 12 Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?” 13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” (THIS WOMAN IS HEARING A LIFE CHANGING WORD). 15 The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw.” 16 Jesus said to her, “Go, call your husband, and come here.” (NOW JESUS IS SPEAKING INTO HER PERSONAL LIFE BY REVELATION, JUST LIKE CARL DID). 17 The woman answered and said, “I have no husband.” Jesus said to her, “You have well said, ‘I have no husband,’ for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; in that you spoke truly.” (PURE, LOVING, HONEST PROPHETIC DECLARATION BY REVELATION) John 4:5-18 NKJV

Jesus’ words touch her soul. Prophecy always does that! And you can prophesy. This dear saint was the key person in the whole city to reach. She goes back and brings the whole town out to meet the Man of God.

The woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city, and said to the men, 29 “Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?” 30 Then they went out of the city and came to Him. John 4:28-30 NKJV

Get with a friend and do this together. Ask the Lord to show you who He wants you to meet today. Ask these specific questions to the Lord and wait quietly. Write down your FIRST THOUGHT OR FIRST IMPRESSION.

Who are they, male or female?

What is their name?

Where are they? (A PLACE LIKE A GROCERY STORE, PARK, SCHOOL, HOSPITAL, ETC)

What are they wearing? (LIKE A SCARF OR RED SHOES, A BASEBALL HAT)

Is there a specific color involved? (THE BUILDING IS BLUE, THEY HAVE A RED TRUCK OR WHITE SNEAKERS)

What is their need? (EVERYONE has needs)

ABBA can and will show you these details. Trust your first impression, your first thought. Compare notes with your friend then go out to find that person, or maybe two persons, and speak to them without forethought. ABBA will give you the details to say as you speak. Show the person your detailed questions and answers.

One of the great testimonies along this line came from our Holy Spirit Encounter at Prayer Mountain in Jinja Uganda in 2023. Prayer Mountain is run by a German ministry, and the staff and visitors from Germany joined our meetings freely which we were having with our people from East Africa. The wife of the Camp Administrator got filled the first day, prophesied the second day and went out on our prophetic evangelism exercise the next day. God gave her a word to speak to a woman with red shoes at a filling station. She went out …and did not find her person. But the next night my friend Bishop Kiiza and his wife Margaret came to speak to us about raising the dead. Guess what color Margaret’s shoes were? And, yes, she was at a ‘filling station,’ our meetings, because our German sister had gotten filled with the Holy Spirit two days before that! Margaret got blessed with the prophetic word and our German sister was on fire…

At my first Christian camp, sometime last century, I learned a very anointed little song… actually a prayer!

LEAD ME TO SOME SOUL TODAY

AND TEACH ME LORD JUST WHAT TO SAY

FRIENDS OF MINE ARE LOST IN SIN

AND CANNOT FIND THEIR WAY

FEW THERE ARE WHO SEEM TO CARE

AND FEW THERE ARE WHO PRAY

MELT MY HEART AND FILL MY LIFE

GIVE ME ONE SOUL TODAY!

Go get ‘em, dear one! Lead one to Christ and it will change both of your lives forever. Amen? Love you!

Remember dear ones, we must be about our Father’s business…
