THINKING GOD THOUGHTS
Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see …And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them… Rev 11:9-10 NKJV
The Apostle John envisioned a day when the whole world would be able to view events in Jerusalem in real time. How is that possible? Occam’s Razor suggests that the simplest solution to a problem is its most likely. Therefore, I conclude that the apostle must have seen an internet like system that would connect all of the world, virtually every individual, making worldwide communication instantly possible. Do you see it? What the devil will use for evil, the Lord can use for good.
And this continued for two years, so that all who dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks. Acts 19:10 NKJV
Is the Lord able to make something ‘go viral’? Let me say this – the gospel is intrinsically viral. Spiritually hungry ones hunt for it like starving people hunting for bread and water. When they find it, they share it! The gospel awakens hunger, and then feeds it with such abundance that it is passed on, where it does the same thing again. The Lord could use the internet today to reach all of Asia Minor in two days rather than two years…do you see it?

Thinking God thoughts is learning to perceive and challenge situations from God’s perspective, not mans. Man says, “Impossible!” God says, “Possible!”
Recently I wrote to our intercessors about praying for the people that sow into Lightbearers Ministries. Let me share with you some of what I wrote…
“Our prayer for those who sow into Lightbearers is that ‘the Lord will bless them with tons of money and that He will inspire them to share a little bit of it with us.’ Now, a ton of gold today is worth $42,819,200 (32,000 ounces @ $1338.10 per ounce). Now, we are praying for ‘tons’ – plural – to come to them. I am expecting God to do exactly what I am asking. Can you pray with me that God will bless them with such abundance, and that He will continue to inspire them to share a little bit of it with us? I have seen people get so blessed sowing into Lightbearers, but I haven’t seen the ‘tons’ yet, like I know is available. Ephesians 3:20. Can you pray with me for that for them?
The world GDP was almost $83 Trillion in 2017. How much of that is being used to advance the Gospel? Consider this fact – the gospel of Jesus Christ is the ONLY civilizing factor in the world today. It is the ONLY influence that brings a measure of sanity even to the unsaved. Without it, men and women become mere brutes. For example, consider what the homeless people are doing to San Francisco, a city that has despised Christian norms and values. What is the value of the gospel, without considering eternal life? At least $60-$70 trillion a year. This is why I’m praying for millions of dollars to come to our friends, and that they are inspired to share some of that with us.
I think big, and I need you to do that, as well. With the power of the Spirit of God alone, the potential to bless millions of people is not ‘crazy impossible,’ but very feasible. With the power of the gospel, and the ability of technology, the potential to reach a whole nation comes down to days instead of years. Paul reached all of Asia Minor in two years and three months…we can do the same as well, reaching nations and continents, without compromising our values of being nameless and faceless servants of Jesus Christ.”
To think God thoughts, we must stop treating verses as if the Lord really didn’t mean what He said. Then we must approach and apply those same verses like they are practically available now!
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Tim 2:3-4 NKJV
At Lightbearers we are seeking to use every spiritual, technical and cultural means we can to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ. My vision is to see a Messianic Israel with Davidic kingdom proportions like an island in a Christian ocean of nations, where born again majorities in every nation hold sway over those cultures. I think that’s possible in my lifetime!
How do you translate God thoughts into achievements?
My friend Apostle Samuel, who has raised two people from the dead, says, “If you want to see it…preach it!” The key to doing the works of God is always relationship, or partnership on a very practical level, first with the Lord, and then with likeminded others. One record that particularly impresses me is how one man of God and his armorbearer took on a whole company of the enemy.
Then Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor, “Come, let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised; it may be that the Lord will work for us. For nothing restrains the Lord from saving by many or by few.” 1 Sam 14:6 NKJV
When you read the record, it’s interesting to note that Jonathan and his armorbearer had to kill about twenty of the enemy themselves before the Spirit of God started to wipe out everyone else. That tells me that even though I have the revelation in my heart, that I still have to act, I have to go, I have to witness, I have to confront in love. The way faith works is that God won’t move until I move. So many people have grand ideas that never come to pass because they don’t move. When you move, God will move. What are you waiting for?
My friend Apostle Denny and I agree that we are in the 3rd quarter of our lives. The third quarter in a basketball game is when one teams seeks to assert its dominance over the other, in order to win. For us, it’s winning time. How about you?
