MIRACLE STORIES

Lightbearers MinistriesUncategorized

And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen. Mark 16:20 NKJV

Miracles are supposed to happen. We don’t get excited about miracles happening. We are thankful, encouraged, blessed, but not wildly excited because miracles are supposed to happen. If I preach the RHEMA Word with love and fervor, I expect miracles to happen. The Lord is present, and He confirms the word with accompanying miracles. This is why when you witness to someone, you never need to worry about ‘proving God.’ God will prove Himself, and He will confirm His Word.

The time to get concerned, to ‘get excited’ if you will, is when you are NOT seeing honest, genuine, lifechanging miracles.

Miracles will always accompany the preaching of the Word. This is why I always want to preach the Word before I do any ministering. So many times, in church services ministers and leaders want to minister healing before they preach the Word. Preach the Word first! If you are feeling the anointing to minister, God won’t leave while you preach the Word! A dear friend was preaching when a woman came and laid her dead daughter on the altar. My friend decided she wasn’t going to get any ‘deader’ while he preached the Word, so he preached for another hour. Then he ministered to the girl…and she arose. Miracles accompany the preaching of the Word!

He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted… Luke 4:18 NKJV

Busia is a border town on the Kenya – Uganda border. We arrived at 2pm. I was supposed to preach in the four pm revival service out at the fairgrounds. We had travelled all night, a twenty hour trip, from Mwanza, Tanzania, a trip that had been ‘lowlighted’ by two blowouts in our Landcruiser, a time of rousing the border agents in the middle of the night to cross the border legally, and several bus encounters. As I showered in the spartan surroundings of my hotel room, the Lord said, “Minister on the truth of Me being the Healer of broken hearts.”

About three hundred were ready in the fairgrounds when I arrived. When I was introduced, I immediately launched into the record in Luke 4:18, and gave what God gave me to speak. When I was done, being a young and dumb preacher at the time, I immediately thought I should lead people to salvation. NO ONE responded to the call to salvation. Finally, the Holy Spirit said, “Uhhh…what did you preach on?” Oh! “How many have a broken heart?” The whole crowd stands up!

As I ministered to them, the Holy Spirit fell, and the whole group began to weep and cry, and pour out their hearts before God, and forgive those who had hurt them. It was glorious!

Three days later, I was greeted in my hotel room by a nicely dressed gentleman who invited me to his home for supper. As I ate supper with him and his wife in their beautiful home, he told me what had happened to him that first night at the fairgrounds.

He owned a bread factory, and he had been an ‘opposition’ party candidate in the recent elections for governor. The day before the elections, a gang of men had come into his bread factory and destroyed it. Then he lost the election. Finally, to top it all off, the insurance company in Nairobi had refused to pay on his claim. When Jesus healed his heart that night, something changed in the spiritual realm. The NEXT day, after months of denials, the insurance company called and said they would pay on all his claims. Everything he lost, was restored. Miracles follow the preaching of the RHEMA word!

But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. Jude 20-21 NKJV

Everywhere I go, I challenge people to pray in tongues an hour a day. But honestly, I think very few do! But my friend is a strong leader, and he challenged his whole, large church to pray in tongues an hour a day for a year. Near the end of that year, they broke into a healing revival that lasted for several years. It was so powerful that the hospital was sending patients to church that they couldn’t help.

When I heard what was happening, I was in Kigali, and I had to come to visit my friend in his church. In his office there were people waiting to be healed. One lady was a Catholic who had a paralyzed baby, who had never crawled or walked, or moved its legs. I said, “Give the baby to me!” As the mother gave me the baby, the Holy Spirit hit that baby, and its legs became instantly strong! The mother received salvation, and the baby was made whole. Another woman was there who had not spoken in ten years. I laid hands on her, and commanded her, saying, “Say, I love the Lord Jesus Christ!” “I LOVE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!” Silent no more!

…And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. Matt 10:7-9 NKJV

Preach, then heal!

Hospitals, to me, are not pleasant places, and especially in a third world country. Flies, filth, mosquito nets, and five beds jammed in a little room, with more than five patients crowded together. The man had endured a stroke, and couldn’t walk. The man of God and I laid hands on him, and commanded the power of God to bring strength back into his limbs. We take our hands off of him, and he stands, and begins to walk. Doctor Jesus was ‘in the house’ that day!

He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. Luke 9:2 NKJV

You can do miracles, dear one. God will work in you to will and to do of His good pleasure. Speak the RHEMA word. One of my students recently spoke a RHEMA word in a prophecy training I was teaching, and the deaf woman she prophesied to got healed! Ask God to give you a word to speak, and speak with all boldness and love. He sends His word and heals them. The Word will do the work!

But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. Mark 13:11 NKJV

God spoke, and the heavens and the earth were created. When God speaks through you, He will move heaven and earth to bring His power to pass. God is a faithful God! It is so much fun to walk in the power of God. Miracles are supposed to happen, and they will, wherever the RHEMA word is spoken in love and authority. Love you!

Remember dear ones, we must be about our Father’s business…
